Mark Leipacher is a theatre director and writer working in the UK and internationally. 

He is from the Black Country and is now based in London.

As Artistic Director of The Faction ensemble he has won the Peter Brook Award, Off West End Award and was nominated for the Off West End Award for Best Director.  Selected productions include:

​Mark has been longlisted for the Young Vic Genesis Fellowship and was included in top 10 percent of script submissions to the BBC Writers Room programme.

As a writer Mark's stage adaptations include The Talented Mr Ripley by Patricia Highsmith and Wings of Desire by Wim Wenders and he has several television projects in early development.

Mark is the author of Catching The Light: Sam Mendes and Simon Russell Beale published by Bloomsbury Methuen.

Mark trained on the National Theatre Directors Course and RWCMD.

Mark's work as an Associate and Assistant Director includes: Design for Living (with Andrew Scott, Tom Burke and Lisa Dillon) at the Old Vic and Private Peaceful at Theatre Royal Haymarket in the West End and HKAPC in Hong Kong.

Mark is Adjunct Faculty of Syracuse University London and has directed at drama schools including RADA, East15 and Mountview.
